Some families have been left homeless after their homes located between the Lagos Business school and the Abraham Adesanya Estate Ajah in Lagos state were allegedly destroyed on the orders of the state government Friday. Caterpillars were sent in to pull down the structures Friday evening. On Friday, December 16th, 2016, South African Police, the Hawks, rescued 26 females aged between 14 and 37 from a brothel in Klerksdorp following a tip-off alleging that the premises is being used as a brothel run by Nigerians. Two Nigerian men and a Guinean were arrested in Bang Na, Thailand on Wednesday, 14th and charged with possession of Category 1 drugs and staying in the country illegally. A joint operation by Hong Kong, Malaysian and Nigerian authorities have smashed a syndicate operating online romance scams which swindled almost 90 women out of HK$60 million, local officials said on Friday, December 16th The transnational racket, based in Malaysia and headed by a 36-year-old Nigerian man and his 46-year-old Malaysian lover, had allegedly duped 73 Hong Kong women out of HK$58 million since 2014, according to Hong Kong police. Two weeks after a plane crash in Colombia killed 71 people, a Brazilian soccer player, who was one of the few survivors, woke from coma over the weekend but has no idea of what happened. Helio Hermito Zampier Neto, 31, was one of the six survivors of LaMia Flight 2933 that crashed in Colombia on November 28. Neto however has no memory of the accident. He and his teammates (19 of them died) were on their way to play the championship of a South American tournament when the crash happened, and he asked about the outcome of the game when he awoke from coma.                                                                                                                          ...

Nigerians woke up this morning to the news that accounts of Nigerian MMM users, have been frozen for a month. The site in a statement released, said the accounts will be frozen till January. Justice Jude Okeke of a High Court in Abuja has granted bail to embattled Federal High Court judge, Justice Ademola Adeniyi and his wife Olubowale, N50 million each. Justice Ademola and his wife were arraigned before the court this money on allegations of corruption and bribery. When the charges filed against them by the Federal government was read to the accused persons, they both pleaded not guilty. The case has been adjourned to January 18th 2017. Follow @cool_jist

Rapper, Kanye West met briefly with Donald Trump, at Trump Tower in New York today. The Rapper reportedly requested a meeting with the president-elect and they had a 15-minute sit-down.
