Tragedy struck Saturday night in Benin City, Edo state when generator fume killed three people, two women and a man. It was gathered that the unnamed occupants of the apartment located at Agherase Adu street died after inhaling smoke from the generator set reportedly kept in the kitchen. Photos: 10 Nigerians deported from Cambodia Weeks after LIB reported the arrest of over 30 Nigerian nationals living and working in Cambodia without valid visas and passports, some of them were deported on Thursday, May 18. The Department of Investigation and Procedures in cooperation with the Department Gate 1 and Gate Post Phnom Penh International Airport expelled 10 Nigerians and one Korean.                A 23-year-old law student in Kerala, India, ended an 8-year cycle of rape by chopping off the penis of her rapist who is a self-styled godman. This is believed to have happened in Brazil. The man was attacked by an American pit bull terrier as he tried to burgle a home. According to reports, the thief waited for the residents to leave for work before he broke in, unaware that there was a pit bull guarding the property. Half his face was ripped off as can be seen in the video while he can be seen gasping for breath, lying on a hospital bed. Doctors can be heard laughing at him in the background. 8-year-old Ifeyinwa pictured above is being treated at the Federal Medical Center Owerri in Imo state after suffering severe burns from an injection she received from a nurse. According to reports, Ifeyinwa had fallen ill some weeks ago and her aunt took her to see a nurse that had a chemist around their home. The nurse said she showed symptoms of malaria and gave her an "anti-malaria injection". A man resident in Port Harcourt, Rivers state killed his son yesterday,  Saturday , in Port Harcourt. The man, identified simply as Inimgba allegedly hit 7yr old George Tamunoibuemie with a hard object, leading to his demise. A police source in Port Harcourt confirmed this.A female neighbor of the deceased said that Inimgba was not an attentive father and would abandon George, forcing him to fend for himself.                                                                                                                                                                   ...

A 32yr old German woman identified as Gabriele P has been jailed for 12-and-a-half years for manslaughter after she tied her lover to a bed and then killed him with a circular saw. Iran's incumbent President Hassan Rouhani has been declared the winner of the 2017 presidential election. The announcement was made by Interior Minister Abdolreza Rahmanifazli on the state TV this morning. A couple were seen having sex outside a busy block of flats in the full glare of the public in broad daylight and the unashamed couple did not try to be discreet. Neighbors looked on in shock as they went at it for about 15 minutes by a set of stairs  on Saturday . A male suicide bomber was the only one that died when he attempted to attack a hostel in the University of Maiduguri UNIMAID campus this morning. In a new report, BBC is alleging that the Federal government paid 2 million euros and released 5 imprisoned Boko Haram bomb makers in exchange for the 82 Chibok school girls released on May 6th.  The Federal government has however not denied claims that there were negotiation with the sect members for the release of the girls.  However the details of the negotiations were not clearly                                                                                              stated.                                                                         ...

O peratives of the Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested a 39-year-old man, Victor Akagha, a native of Owerri in Imo state, for sleeping with 4 secondary school boys he lured into gay relationship. According to a statement released by RRS, Victor who lives in Lagos, was ambushed at the victim’s school, where he came to pick him with his car. The Bauchi State Police Command  on Wednesday  paraded suspected armed robbers arrested in various part of the state. 74-year-old Puerto Rican nationalist, Oscar Lopez Rivera has been released from house arrest after 36 years in custody, in a case that transformed him into a martyr. Lopez was considered a top leader of Puerto Rican militant group that said it was responsible for more than 100 bombings in several U.S. cities and Puerto Rico during the 1970s and early 1980s. The attacks killed six people and wounded scores.
