Three persons were killed and five injured when unknown gunmen attacked six communities, Bambami, Tsanni, Dabai Bayawa, Makatanawa, Dan Iya and Alale, all in Batagarawa Local Government Area of Katsina State. Two South African communities,   Kuruman community in Northern Cape Province and  Klaafontein community, Extension 5 in Johannesburg, have reportedly given the Nigerians residing there quit notice.  According to the President of the Nigerian union in South Africa, Ikechukwu Anyene, the Klaafontein community, have directed landlords in the area not to renew the rent of Nigerians residing in their properties while the Kuruman community in Northern Cape Province have given Nigerians till  tomorrow June 16th  to leave their community.                                                                                                                         ...

Several people are still missing or feared dead after the deadly blaze ripped through the Grenfell Tower block in London. Family and friends of the missing have since taken to social media to appeal for help in finding their loved ones. A Nigerian man was on Wednesday, June 7th, formally charged with arson in a pair of fires set inside the Etowah County Detention Center, in Alabama, United States. The Saudi authorities have banned football fans from wearing Barcelona shirt which is being sponsored by Qatar Airways, with a possible 15-year prison sentence and £120,000 fine if anyone is caught. The ban comes after Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Yemen and the Maldives cut off all ties with its neighbor, after they accused Qatar of supporting extremist groups. The Inspector-General’s Intelligence Response Team (IRT) led by ACP Abba Kyari, has arrested one of the most wanted kidnappers in Nigeria, Chukwudidumeme Onuamadike a.k.a Evans. According to reports, Evans who is a native of Nnwei in Nnwei North LGA of Anambra state, was arrested at his Magodo residence in Lagos today. The leaders of the Northern Elders Forum NEF, have distanced themselves from the comments made by their spokesperson Abdullahi Ango, on the controversial ultimatum some Northern Youths gave to Igbos residing in the region. Ango at a press conference in Kaduna state yesterday, claimed the elders were in total support of the youths. Damian Marley, the youngest son of late Jamaican legend Bob Marley has become a co-owner of the US famous marijuana publication, High Times. Google has unveiled the final plans for their luxury £1billion UK headquarters. The 870,000 sq ft building planned for Kings Cross in London will be the first office the tech giant has designed for itself outside California. Troops of Operation DELTA SAFE (OPDS) on Tuesday ambushed a gang of sea robbers/kidnappers along KM-45 AWOBA Waterways in Rivers State. During the ambush operation, 4 robbers met their Waterloo. Items recovered include; 2× AK-47 rifles, quantity 3× AK-47 magazines, quantity 22 ammunitions and one-speed boat mounted with one 200 Horse-Power engine. That's the question on the minds of most people after Karla Homolka was spotted volunteering at her children's elementary school. One Captain Chris Ndukwe Oshuoha has been killed by Sea pirates. Details surrounding his death are still sketchy, however, according to friends and family, he was reportedly captured by the pirates while on duty at sea and murdered.
