Frenchman arrested at Gatwick threw a gun into a bin as he fled easyJet check-in while being chased by police who shouted to passengers 'get down, get down' A Frenchman caused chaos at Gatwick Airport this morning after approaching an easyJet check-in desk with a gun. The 41-year-old man fled from the check-in area at the North Terminal after being challenged by staff, it was said. He then threw one firearm in a rubbish bin before police restrained him, triggering hundreds of passengers to be evacuated from the busy airport.
