Buhari threatens to deal with Niger Delta militants over renewed vandalization of oil pipeline Following the renewed incidents of pipeline vandalism in the Niger Delta, President Buhari has threatened to deal decisively with those behind the act. World's oldest man dies two months before his 113th birthday Yasutaro Koide, born on March 13, died today at the age of 112. The Japanese who said his secret to a long life was not to smoke, drink or overdo it. Koide worked as a tailor when he was younger and was recognised by the Guinness World Records as the world’s oldest man in August 2015. Read more »

See Leaked Anthony Martial 'transfer documents' shows true cost of Man United deal - including Ballon d'Or clause Documents have been leaked which claim to explain the full details of Anthony Martial's transfer to Manchester United. The file, which first appeared on  Football Leaks,  purports to reveal the true extent of spending from United on the former Monaco youngster. It reveals that United will pay their €50million for Martial across two separate installments. The second of those payments will be made at the end of this season, regardless of performance levels shown by the Frenchman. But as reported when Martial signed, the transfer could progressively become more and more expensive or United Big money: Martial will cost United up to €80million Martial is contracted with United until 2019 and if, in that time, he scores 25 goals in competitive matches, the Red Devils will have to shell out a further €10million. What Is Your Church Concerned about? Your Money or Your Welfare? These words from Pastor John Hagee sums it all... Church should be a place where if you don't have job and no cash to start a business, you should be able to get money to start a business from the Tithes and Offerings. Rather than spend Billions to buy Private Jets, a church should give N1million each to 1,000 people, after training them, to start businesses. Any church who do this would be impacting lives of millions as those 1,000 people have families. Be guided!

Enyimba FC team bus attacked by Armed robbers while travelling Enyimba Football club of Aba players were attacked on Monday Jan. 18th while they were on transit to Kaduna to participate in this year’s Super 4 tournament. The team bus was attacked by armed robbers in Kogi state and valuable items such as wristwatches, phones, laptops and cash were taken by the robbers. Enyimba representatives confirmed the incident on their official twitter handle: “We can confirm that our team bus was attacked by armed robbers this afternoon in Okene, Kogi State on our way to Kaduna for the #SuperFour. Thankfully, there were no injuries during this unfortunate incident. Players and officials were however stripped of all valuables”.

Photos: Two ISIS suicide bombers disguised as females killed by Libyan fighters Two Islamic State terrorists were killed on Monday, January 18 by fighters of Derna Shura Council, Libya after they attempted to infiltrate into the city from Al-Fatayah mountains, where the remnants of IS militants are hiding. Olisa Metuh granted N400million bail A Federal High Court in Abuja has granted embattled National Publicity Secretary of PDP, Olisa Metuh, a N400million bail. Olisa is being tried for receiving N400 million from the $2.1 billion arms deal fraud. The judge also ordered Metuh to submit his international passport and that as part of his bail conditions, he must provide two sureties with N200 million each. The sureties must have properties in Maitama district of Abuja.

Senate receives letter for the corrected version of 2016 budget from the presidency The Senate has received a letter from President Buhari, stating that some adjustments were made to the 2016 budget presented to it on December 22nd. The letter which was read before the house by Senate President Bukola Saraki this morning reads in part ‪ “It will be recalled that on Tuesday, 22 December, 2015, I presented my 2016 budget proposals to the joint sitting of the national assembly. Muslim employees quit manufacturing job after company changes prayer policies Dozens of Muslim employees at a Wisconsin manufacturing company claim that they were forced to quit this week, after the company changed its prayer-on-the-job policy to one that prevents them from participating in their daily prayers to Mecca. WBAY-TV reported that before Thursday, Somali Muslims employed by Ariens Manufacturing were allowed to leave the producing line twice a shift in order to participate in two of the five daily prayers required by the Islamic faith. Graphic Photo: One killed during Pro-Biafran protest in Abia Soldiers of the 144 Battalion of the Nigerian Army reportedly opened fire on members of the Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB) during a protest in Aba, Abia State today January 18th, killing an unidentified member of the group. Local markets, schools and Banks have closed down following the violent clash between IPOB members and security officers. 15 former governors, others stole N1.34 trillion in six years - Lai Mohammed Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has alleged that some former governors, ministers, businessmen, public servants and bankers stole over N1.34 trillion between 2006 and 2013 in the country. He made the allegation while speaking at a news conference in Abuja today Jan. 18th. "Out of the stolen funds, 15 former Governors allegedly stole 146.84 billion naira; 4 former Ministers allegedly stole 7 billion naira; 12 former Public Servants, both at federal and state levels, allegedly stole over 14 billion Naira; 8 people in the Banking Industry allegedly stole 524 billion naira; while 11 businessmen allegedly stole 653 billion naira.
