Americans held hostage in Iran win compensation, 36 years later After spending 444 days in captivity, and more than 30 years seeking restitution, the Americans taken hostage at the United States Embassy in Tehran in 1979 have finally won compensation. 43 still missing from Hajj stampede 43 Nigerians are yet to be accounted for in the stampede and crane accident that took place in Mina and Makkah, Saudi Arabia on September 11th and September 24th respectively. A report submitted by the Federal government committee on the 2015 Hajj yesterday, states that 280 Nigerians died in both events while 43 others are yet to be located. A total of 75,081 Nigerian pilgrims participated in the 2015 hajj exercise.
