N676m job scam: Abba Moro and 2 others granted bail, trial to commence on March 27th The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted former Minister of Interior, Abba Moro and two others bail. Delivering judgement on his bail application, the presiding judge, Justice A.I Chikere granted Moro bail on self recognition. According to her, Moro has been a public servant without any record of criminality and will not jump bail. Read more »

They both came to watch the Clippers versus Brooklyn Nets match. During the game, they were seen snacking on chips and chatting with a few of the players. Terror in Turkey as two armed women open fire in the street... Dramatic footage shows two women opening fire with what appeared to be a machine gun and throwing grenades at a police bus in the Bayrampasa district of Istanbul. Police returned fire, injuring one of the women, before tracking them to a nearby government building where they had barricaded themselves in. Read more » \

Money laundering charges: FFK reacts to Sahara Reporters allegation that he bribed Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani Kayode, has reacted to claims by  Sahara Reporters  that he bribed Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia to quash the money laundering case against him last year. Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia was yesterday March 2nd, issued a warning and put on the “Watch-List” for the next four years by the National Judicial Council over allegations of corruption. Read more »

$2.1bn arms deal: Badeh  says he is being persecuted,  releases statement  Embattled former Chief of Defence Staff , Lt Gen Alex Badeh, has denied claims that he was involved in the misappropriation of $2.1 billion arms procurement fund. See the whatsapp chats between footballer Adam Johnson & 15yr old girl Adam Johnson was yesterday found guilty of sexually penetrating an underage girl by putting his hand 'inside her trousers' and now faces a maximum of 10 years imprisonment after also admitting to kissing and grooming a child, as the age of consent in Great Britain is 16 years. The judge yesterday told him to say goodbye to his daughter as he will be sentenced  in two weeks  time and was placed on a  7pm- 7a.m  curfew by the court. EFCC arraigns Badeh today, accuses him of diverting N1.1billion Nigerian Air Force fund The EFCC will today arraign former Chief of Defence Staff, Alex Badeh, before an Abuja High Court on a 10-count charge ranging from misappropriation of N1.1bn meant for the Nigeria Airforce. According to  The Nation , among the allegations leveled against Badeh include alleged spending of NAF funds to build a shopping mall worth N878,362,732.94; another N650 million for the purchase of a commercial plot of land and $2 million on a duplex in Abuja. Ibori, others to complete jail term in Nigeria as FG sign pact with UK govt on prisoner exchange According to reports, Nigerians serving jail terms in the United Kingdom will soon be transferred to Nigeria to complete their prison time as the Federal government and the UK government have reportedly signed an agreement for prison transfer. Former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, is expected to be part of those that will be repatriated to complete their jail term in Nigeria. Ibori still has more than six months to stay in prison. Latest Africa's richlist:Mike Adenuga is now the second richest man in Africa after Dangote There are 24 African billionaires this year, down from 28 in 2015. And according to  Forbes , Nigerian businessman Mike Adenuga is the biggest gainer among the African billionaires. He is now worth $10 billion, up from $4 billion a year ago. The significant jump in Adenuga’s fortune according to Forbes is attributable to new information on the value of his telecom, oil and real estate holdings. Angolan investor Isabel dos Santos and oil tycoon Folorunsho Alakija of Nigeria still remain the only two female billionaires on the continent.  See the top 23 richest people in Africa  »

Latest FIFA rankings: Nigeria is Africa's 11th best team,while Cape Verde is Africa's best team FIFA this morning released it's rankings for the Men's football team, with Nigeria in position 62 as the 11th best team in Africa after climbing one position upwards in the month of February. Belgium, Argentina, Mexico, Iran and New Zealand held their positions at the top of their respective confederations, with the only change in leadership at the confederation level this month taking place in CAF. Cape Verde Islands snatched the first place from Côte d’Ivoire to become Africa’s new number one team. Read more »

Mark Zuckerberg is now world's 6th richest man Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is now the 6th richest man in the world, moving up 10 spots from last years Forbes ' 2016 billionaires list of the world's richest people. According to Forbes, Mark made more than $11billion in one year, going from $33.4 billion in the 2015 ranking to $44.6 billion in the 2016 ranking.
