5 players who have let Louis van Gaal down at Manchester United this season    Louis van Gaal's future at Manchester United is in question, after a dismal recent run put paid to the club's Champions League hopes while also seeing them slip nine points off the Premier League lead. The Red Devils may not have been playing free-flowing, champagne football earlier in the season, but the Dutchman had an organised, hard-to-beat side who were picking up points. However, after a six game winless run the Dutchman is now back under pressure, with Jose Mourinho's spectre looming increasingly large following his departure from Chelsea. Now senior players are said to be "no longer behind" the manager, and his time at Old Trafford could be set for a premature end. But is it all down to Van Gaal? Photo: Zimbabwe to make Chinese yuan legal currency after Beijing cancels $40m debts Zimbabwe has announced that it will make the Chinese yuan legal tender after Beijing confirmed it would cancel $40m in debts, AFP reports.  "They [China] said they are cancelling our debts that are maturing this year and we are in the process of finalising the debt instruments and calculating the debts," minister Patrick Chinamasa said in a statement. Chinamasa also announced that Zimbabwe will officially make the Chinese yuan legal tender as it seeks to increase trade with Beijing. Zimbabwe abandoned its own dollar in 2009 after hyperinflation, which had peaked at around 500bn%, rendered it unusable. It then started using a slew of foreign currencies, including the US dollar and the South African rand. The yuan was later added to the basket of the foreign currencies, but its use had not been approved yet for public transactions in the market domi

APC in the land of ‘Fabu’        FABU” is a Yoruba slang denoting an exaggerated lie.  It points to a tall tale; a gross distortion of the truth.  “Fabu” is a shortened form of the English word “fabulate,” which refers to the composition of fables or stories featuring a strong element of fantasy and lies.  Without a doubt, within the Nigerian political stratosphere, APC is a party that lives in “fabuland.”   Art of fabulation: The chief exponent of APC fabulation is Lai Mohammed. He was formerly the party’s National Publicity Secretary, a post in which he distinguished himself.  This has now earned him promotion to the post of Minister of Information and Culture.  In this new capacity, Mohammed has already begun to fine-tune his art of fabulation.  No sooner had he become Minister than he went ahead to tell Nigerians that fuel scarcity would soon be a thing of the past. These are his words delivered with characteristic aplomb at the Abuja office of Daily Trus
