The unfortunate incident happened last night at his 82, Brickfield road, off Apapa Road, Ebute Metta home/factory in Lagos. The fire which started outside at about 8pm last night lasted till about midnight...and razed the building, which housed Dakova's home (in front) and Factory (at the back), to the ground. Fortunately no one was injured but he lost his machines & clothes already sewn worth over $300k. Cause of the fire hasn't been made known... Follow @cool_jist  

Social media was awash this morning with reports claiming that the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, now flies private jets to attend meetings in and out of Nigeria. According to a statement released by the Ag. Director, Corporate Communications of CBN, Isaac Okorafor today April 9th, this report is totally false. According to the statement, Emefiele and his principal staff use local flights and sometimes use the roads when going for meetings. The statement also denied claims of Emefiele and his family flying a private jet to attend his mother's funeral in Delta state recently. According to Senator Shehu Sani who represents Kaduna Central in the senate, sending a Nigerian to space in 2030 will be a total waste of money. His position is against that of the Minister of Science and Technology, Ogbonnaya Onu, who in March, stated that Nigeria will launch its first Astronaut into space on or before 2030. Three mariners have been rescued from a remote Pacific island after using palm fronds to spell out the word 'Help' on the beach. The artist, Scott Marsh who painted this image of rapper Kanye West kissing another Kanye West on a building in Chippendale, in Sydney, Australia earlier in March has sold the painting to a mystery buyer for $100,000. A federal high court sitting in Abuja yesterday awarded a N10million damage against the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for what it termed as the unlawful arrest and detention of former Acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus in February this year.
