Midfielder Michael Carrick has signed a new one year deal with Manchester United after Jose Mourinho convinced him to stay with the club for one more season. Carrick, 34, signed for United in July 2006. Francis Emmanuel pictured above, was viciously attacked by young Muslim men at Kakuri, Kaduna state on Tuesday June 7th, after they saw him eating while some Muslims were observing their Ramadan fast. Kaduna state governor, Nasir El Rufai visited him yesterday at the St. Geralds Hospital where he is receiving medical care. Justice Oluwatoyin Ipaye of the Lagos State High Court today, June 9, sentenced Olawale Garuba (pictured) to 39 Years imprisonment for stealing from the dead. Residents of Kenya were without power for 3 hours yesterday after a monkey fell on a transformer at a power station. This is according to the country's electricity company KenGen which released a statement to that effect.
