South African gay singer dies of anal cancer 36 year old HIV positive South African singer, Koyo Bala, lost his two year battle with anal cancer yesterday March 7th. Yinusa arraigned in court over Ese Oruru's abduction The young man who was arrested in connection with the abduction of 14 year old Ese Oruru from Bayelsa in August 2015, Yinusa Dahiru has been arraigned in court. He was arraigned today February 14th at the Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa on a five-count charge of abduction, illicit sex and unlawful canal knowledge among others. Ese is said to be about 6 months pregnant, thus the unlawful canal knowledge charge.

Photo: Malaysian court upturns death sentence handed to a Nigerian drug trafficker A Malaysian Court of Appeal today March 8th upturned the death sentence handed down to a 31 year old Nigerian man identified as Abuchi Ngwoke, by a Malaysian High Court for trafficking 251.66 grammes of methamphetamine into Malaysia in May 2012. The Malaysian High Court had sentenced Abuchi to death after he was arrested at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on May 23rd 2012 and taken to the Melaka General hospital where some precious stones he swallowed, tested positive for methamphetamine . Nike suspends Maria Sharapova after admitting to failed drugs test SportsWear manufacturing giant Nike have suspended Maria Sharapova's $50m deal after the Russian athlete admitted to using a banned drug. The WTA ranked World No. 7 admitted in her press conference yesterday that she had been using performance enhancer drug meldonium for the last 10 years as part of a doctor's prescription for health issues and didn't know it was banned by the World Anti-Doping Agency in December.
