Photo: 4 year boy kidnapped from his school in Lagos 4 year old Ojelabi Micheal Oluwatomiyin pictured above was kidnapped by a yet to be identified woman at his school, Mafina Primary School Unity estate along Iba expressway in Lagos yesterday January 20th.        A relative of the kidnapped boy said according to Ojelabi's 8 year old sister, herself and her little brother were in their school waiting for their mother to come pick them up. When they got tired of waiting, they stepped out of their school compound where they met the kidnapper who told her their mother asked her to come and pick them up. The young girl refused saying she does not know her.  The kidnapper then forcefully grabbed her younger brother from her and ran away. No word has been heard from the kidnapper since yesterday. Will Smith Finally Speaks on boycotting the Oscars                        The 47 year old actor broke his silence as he poured out his heart in an interview with Robin Roberts on Good Morning America. He revealed his wife Jada did not consult him before releasing video calling for boycott of the Oscars, but admitted she may have been motivated by his Oscar snub and that either ways she would still have made the video. The Actor has joined his wife Jada Pinkett, Spike Lee, Lupita Nyong’o, David Oyelowo, and George Clooney, among many others in calling out the Academy Awards for its all-white slate of acting nominees.  In the interview he said: “My wife’s not going. Resident doctor dies of Lassa fever in OAU Teaching Hospital An unidentified resident doctor at the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital Complex (OAUTHC), Osun State, has died of Lassa Fever. According to the Chairman of the hospital's committee on Lassa Fever, Prof. Adedeji Onayade, the unidentified doctor died on Monday January 18th. The cause of his death was only confirmed yesterday January 20th after his blood sample was taken to the diagnostic center for test. Read more »

Daniel Amokachi lands 1-year deal to coach JS Hercules of Finland Former Super Eagles coach, Daniel Amokachi, has secured a one-year deal to coach JS Hercules of Finland. A position which is required to take effect immediately. The Finnish second division side, on their official website on Wednesday Jan. 20th, announced the hiring of former Super Eagles player, Amokachi as its new coach and the re-organization in their technical crew. Rapper/actor Ice Cube and Kevin Hart and have been in the UK to promote their latest box office comedy, Ride Along 2, the sequel to their first film, with Hart also performing a stand-up show for the players  on Wednesday  evening. Photos: A housemaid in Saudi Arabia who threatened to commit suicide by jumping off a building rescued. The Saudi Civil Defence team rescued an Asian maid who threatened to commit suicide by jumping off the sixth floor of a building in a residential area in Riyadh, Arabic daily Sabq reports. The maid, who is employed by a Syrian family, managed to reach on to the window AC panel on the outer side of wall and then threatened to commit suicide.  Read more »

Vatican offers homeless new mother a place to live after she gives birth nearby Vatican officials offered to house a homeless woman who gave birth near St. Peter’s Square on Wednesday. R.Kelly speaks up on relationship with the late Aaliyah and child pornography charges R&B singer R.Kelly has opened up on the controversial stories that turned him into a tabloid regular. The singer was alleged to be in a relationship with the late Aaliyah who was 15 year old at the time, and in 2008 he was also accused of filming himself having sex with a minor, a case he won in court. He revealed in an interview with GQ that he doesn't regret the 'best friend' relationship he had with Aaliyah and that once you are found not guilty of charges in a law court be it murder or whatever,t hen you are not guilty. Renowned artist Leila Alaoui & her driver killed in Burkina Faso hotel terror attack Leila Alaoui, the 33-year-old French-Moroccan photographer, died on Monday, January 18 as a result of injuries sustained during Friday’s al-Qaeda terrorist attack in Burkina Faso hotel, along with her driver, Mahamadi Ouédraogo, a father of four. Alaoui was working on assignment on women’s rights issues for Amnesty International. The human rights organisation and French culture and communications minister Fleur Pellerin both confirmed her death. Multi-Billion fraud: Buhari to Declare ex-AGF Adoke, Obaigbena & Others Wanted President Muhammadu Buhari-led government is set to declare some top officials of the Goodluck Jonathan's administration wanted, in connection with some new and ongoing corruption revelations. EFCC Boss says looters Will Go To Prison Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Mustafa Magu spoke on the fight against corruption on Wednesday, saying it will be total and unsparing. The EFCC boss assured that with the evidences with him, more looters will go to jail this year. Mr. Magu, fondly called The General, said stakeholders seem to be more serious about fighting corruption. “From all indications, the judges are more serious, everybody is cooperating and this year, we will see more politically-exposed persons convicted. Fake Doctor Arrested Opens Up: I Bought Certificates for N100K A 43yrs old man, Opeyemi Adesina, who allegedly paraded himself as a consultant gynaecologist (taking care of women body) with the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi-Araba, says he paid N100,000 to buy the seven forged certificates he used. Adesina was arrested on Tuesday by the Alakara Police Division on Alowolodu Street in the Alapere in the Ketu area of Lagos. He was arrested after his landlord, Mr Akorede, wrote a “save-my-soul” petition to the management of LUTH some weeks ago that Adesina brought home female patients to treat in his house and did abortions for them, among other unwholesome practices, which could implicate him. Man who tried To Stab Pastor Inside a Church,knocked down by an unseen hand The moment an armed attacker was ‘felled by the power of God’ right inside a church after he attempted to kill the presiding priest in a Colombian church. The footage shows the hooded would-be assassin leaping from his seat at the front of the church and pulling out a large knife as he runs up to the priest, Pedro Pablo Martin. But seemingly a "spirit force" stopped the attacker in his tracks as he comes within inches of the priest. The pastor reacts to the potentially lethal assault with the words: ‘There is power in the name of Jesus’.

Shell To Relieve 10,000 Workers of their Jobs In Nigeria As its fortunes continue to dwindle in the face of falling oil prices, Royal Dutch Shell is to sack 10,000 men and women in an effort to bolster its profit margins. According to Capital Post, Shell’s drive to improve competitive performance is delivering at the bottom line. Operating costs have reduced by $4billion, or around 10 percent in 2015, and the company expects Shell’s costs to fall again in 2016 by a further $3 billion. Read more »
