The National Youth Service Corps has announced the death of a corps member, Okonta Samuel, (pictured above) with call-up number RV/15B/5539, during the re-run elections in Rivers State which held over the weekend.‎ A statement by the management of NYSC, says that Samuel, who served at GCSS Ukpeliede, was shot dead by unknown gunmen in Ahoada West Local Government Area on Saturday March 19th. More than 250 African migrants were arrested in the hours of Friday, March 18 in Tajoura suburb, Tripoli in Libya, as they were about to set sail to EU. Six African migrants also drowned same day when the boat they were traveling on capsized. Troops of 22 Brigade Garrison carried out clearing operation at Dalore camp on Sunday, March 20 in which they killed 19 Boko Haram terrorists among whom was Ameer of Dalore. I ndian authorities have confirmed the identity of the married couple killed in the FlyDubai crash on Saturday. Shyam Mohan and his wife Anju Aiyappan, both 27, were on their way back to a Rostov-on-Don resort after a month-long trip home. The couple are from the southern Indian state of Kerala. A Federal High Court sitting in Yengoa, Bayelsa state, has granted Ese Oruru's abductor, Yunusa Dahiru, N3 million bail. Yunusa is standing trial for abducting 14 year old Ese from Bayelsa and taking her to Kano state where he forcefully married her and then converted her to a Muslim. Singer/Comedian, Olumuyiwa Osinuga aka Nomoreloss has died. His sister in-law, Dammy Osinuga,confirmed he died this morning of an undisclosed ailment at a hospital in Opebi, Lagos. She said he has been ill since January this year. Many of his colleagues don't even know about his death. What a sad loss! He's survived by a daughter and was   just in his late 30s. Wives of the pilot and co-pilot of the crashed FlyDubai flight FZ981 are expecting children, Gulf News reports. The plane crashed early on Saturday morning on approach in Rostov-on-Don, killing 62 people on board, including seven crew members. Captain Aristos Sokratous, 38 recently married, was expecting a son with his wife while the wife of Alejandro Cruz Alava, the plane’s co-pilot, is expecting twins. President Barack Obama arrived in Cuba on Sunday on a historic visit, opening a new chapter in U.S. engagement with the Cuban Communist government after almost 10 decades of animosity between both countries. Obama landed at Havana's Jose Marti International Airport aboard Air Force One, the presidential jet with "United States of America" emblazoned across it. The president immediately tweeted that he had touched down in Cuba. Stepping down onto the red carpet under the rain, Obama and his family were greeted by Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, the top Cuban official present but the current president, Raul Castro wasn't there to meet him.
