The Federal High Court in Lagos has granted former First lady, Patience Jonathan, unrestrained access to her recently unfrozen $5.9 million. The court had on April 6th unfrozen the money which was earlier seized by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, who suspected that the funds found in a Skye bank account were proceeds from financial crimes.                                                                                                 Follow @cool_jist

Last week Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey sparked rumors they were back together after they were spotted having dinner together three nights in a row. In a book scheduled to be launched on Friday April 28th, former spokesperson of late President Musa Yar'Adua and Chairman of Thisday editorial board, Segun Adeniyi, revealed that Former President Goodluck Jonathan was unhappy with the manner former chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Attahiru Jega, went about conducting the 2015 general election which he lost in to President Buhari. At least 27 people have been confirmed dead following a head on collision between a bus and a truck at Kambu along Mombasa-Nairobi highway, Kenya. A 45 year old man has been rescued after he allegedly attempted to commit suicide by jumping into a well at a residence in Kujore street in the Ojota area of Lagos state today April 25th. Men of the Lagos state Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) were alerted at about 6am this morning after the man jumped into the 116 feet well. Although he did not die, the man sustained a fracture on his hand. He was taken to the hospital for treatment by officials of the Lagos State Ambulance Service. Follow @cool_jist
