US President Barack Obama has acted on Noth Korea's Supreme leader Kim Jong-Un’s bluff by deploying very powerful supersonic bombers to bases near North Korea - just days after the dictator Kim Jong-un declared war on America. The North Korean leader accused Mr Obama of “crossing the red line” after introducing trade sanctions last week, and promised the “toughest countermeasures” in response. Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega has named his wife, Rosario Murillo as his running mate and Vice Presidential candidate as he seeks re-election for a third term. Islamic State (IS) jihadist group, ISIS, has announced a new leader for its West African branch which is Boko Haram. According to BBC, the terrorist group announced this in the latest issue of their magazine. A Kenyan woman has been arrested for allegedly stabbing her husband to death for arriving home late and drunk. Ann Mbaithe (pictured left) was accused of stabbing her husband, Daniel Githuka, 30, in the chest and killing him, after he returned home in the early hours of Saturday, July 30 in Tinganga village, Kiambu town.                                                                             Read more » Follow @cool_jist  

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Anambra State arrested a 31-year-old man on July 28, for allegedly peddling hard drug worth N1.78 billion. The Commander, Mr. Sule Momodu, said the suspect identified as Vincent Chidiebere was arrested in Awka, the state capital, with methamphetamine weighing 25.2kg. Speaking with state house correspondents after their closed door meeting which lasted for 20 minutes, Jonathan said he was in Aso Rock to brief President Buhari of his recent international engagements.
