On Thursday, angry youths in Ikpayongo, mounted a road block along Makurdi/Otukpo road in protest over the killing of their people by suspected herdsmen. The Police in Katsina state have arrested a 46 year old man, Ishaku Inusa, for slitting the throat of a commercial motorcyclist (okadaman) in Knakara local government area in the state following an argument over his unpaid fare. Russia's Supreme Court on Thursday declared Jehovah's Witness as an extremist organization and ordered the state to seize its property in Russia. The court, after six days of hearings, ordered the closing of the group’s Russia headquarters and its 395 local chapters. A retired deputy director in the National Intelligence Agency, Ibrahim Ibrahim, has alleged that the N15 billion found in an apartment in Ikoyi last week, was part of the money Former President Goodluck Jonathan released through the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) for the PDP 2015 campaigns. Two Nigerian men arrested for smuggling 1.27 kilograms of cocaine in one of the men's stomachs have had their hearing postponed to seek evidence on whether they knew each other or had accidentally met at the airport. Police on Good Friday, April 14, arrested a Nigerian national identified as Nagbu Orajuka and his Indian wife outside a church in Bhandup, Mumba, India for allegedly cheating a resident into paying them close to Rs. 14 lakh using a honey trap. The complainant, Sandeep Singh, an IT professional received a friend request on Facebook from the female accused, who had set up an account in the name of Mercy John, in October last year. Senate President Bukola Saraki, says Nigerians deserve to know the owner of the $50 million found in an apartment in Ikoyi by EFCC operatives on April 12th. In an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday, Saraki faulted the antigraft agency for not revealing the identity of the owner of the money after 7 days of discovery. A 53-year-old Nigerian man who works at the United Nations was arrested in connection with a string of bank robberies in Manhattan, over the past month and a half, law enforcement sources tell News 4 New York.
