Shiva Amini, an ex-member of Iran's women's football team claims she has been banned from sports after being photographed without her hijab in a friendly match,. A garment which was made compulsory for women in Iran since the Islamic Revolution in 1979. Due to fear of extremism in the northwestern Muslim-majority region of Xinjiang, the Chinese government has listed dozens of 'extreme' Islamic names banned in the Xinjiang province. Troops of 21 Brigade of the Division of the Nigerian Army killed 15 Boko Haram militants and captured large quantities of terrorists' equipment in Borno State. Hollywood actor, Michael Mantenuto died on Monday, April 24, 2017 at the age of 35. Announcing his death,  U.S. Army Col. Guillaume Beaurpere wrote in a Facebook post  on Wednesday  that Mantenuto sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound.  "Those of you that knew Mike will remember him for his passionate love for his family and his commitment to the health of the force," he wrote.                                                                           Follow @cool_jist

An apartment in Brooklyn that was onetime the home of former President Barack Obama is on the market for $4.3 million. The ad for the 5-bedroom home on the real estate website Zillow reads,  "Rush to this noteworthy home forever stamped with a historical footprint. The unique distinction of being the residence of President Obama after he graduated Columbia University." Obama lived on a floor of the townhouse with his girlfriend in the 1980s. Yesterday was a bad day for LG Nigeria and their neighbors, Bedmate furniture as the building caught fire. The showroom located at New Road, Cheveron Drive caught fire at about  3pm  and didn't stop till  10pm .  According to the LG staff, the fire escalated due to slow response of the Chevron Drive fire fighters team. The Federal High Court in Lagos has granted former First lady, Patience Jonathan, unrestrained access to her recently unfrozen $5.9 million.
