At least 36 persons were burnt beyond recognition after two 18-seater passenger buses collided along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway today May 6th. According to reports, only a baby survived the incident as the father of the child threw him out through the window of the bus. EFCC is alleging that the flat were N15 billion was discovered last month, is owned by wife of suspended NIA DG, Ambassador Ayo Oke, Folashade Oke. Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau, has dismissed the report that he had been injured in an airstrike by the Nigerian army. On Friday, India's Supreme Court upheld a lower court's decision to sentence four men convicted of a gang rape to death by execution. Vinay Sharma, Akshay Thakur, Pawan Gupta and Mukesh Singh were originally sentenced in September 2013, but they appealed the decision in the country's top court. Federal High Court in Maiduguri  on Thursday  sentenced two local government officials to one year in prison and N1 million fine each for selling 180 bags of rice meant for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs). The convicts, Bulama Zangebe, a counsellor and Modu Bulama, a storekeeper, both with Mafa Local Government Council of Borno were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a two-count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy and criminal misappropriation.                                                                           Follow @cool_jist

According to Italy's economic development minister, Carlo Calenda the government of Italy will begin accepting offers for it's struggling national carrier in the next 15 days. The airline, Alitalia has been in a downward spiral for years, and at this stage no rival has stepped forward to publicly express interest in a deal.
