Female Senator Uche Ekwunife sacked by Appeal Court, Judge Orders Fresh Election
A court of Appeal sitting in Enugu has sacked PDP's Senator Uche
Ekwunife from the Senate, in response to an appeal filed by Victor Umeh
of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
A lead judgement read by Justice Datijo Yahaya stated that the election that brought in Mrs Ekwunife on the 28 March, 2015, did not meet the prescription of the electoral act.

The judge therefore declared her election null and void, and ordered that fresh election be held in the Anambra Central Senatorial District within 90 days.
