Sanctions on Iran LIFTED

International sanctions on Iran have been lifted, EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini confirmed on Saturday.
Sanctions were lifted as part of a monumental deal with world powers as "Iran has fulfilled its commitment".
As part of the deal, Iran had to drastically reduce its number of centrifuges and dismantle a heavy-water reactor near the town of Arak, both of which could be used in creating nuclear weapons.
The international nuclear watchdog IAEA, confirmed that its inspectors were satisfied Iran had taken such steps.
The move will unfreeze billions of dollars in the Middle Eastern country and allow Iranian oil to be sold internationally.
The US Secretary of State John Kerry has ordered that US nuclear-related economic sanctions against Iran be lifted.

Iran always maintained that its nuclear project was peaceful but suspicions have abounded.
Republicans in the US still don't think the deal goes far enough in curtailing the country's ability to get a nuclear weapon and have repeatedly accused Obama of appeasing the regime
